Features
Ministry of Health complaint patient chart
The standard paper patient chart is converted into a beautiful and easy to use electronic version. The items in the chart is listed chronologically with option to filter specific types of information. It is a “smart” chart that identifies between simple notes and complex items such as orders (e.g. X-Ray order). For the complex items many important things happen behind the scenes. For example, for an X-Ray order, a payment is issued and will be sent to a cashier. Then order is automatically sent to the X-Ray unit when a payment is collected. The chart will be kept as a permanent record of the patient. Whenever a patient requests for his/her record, it can be exported to a PDF.
Lab Machine Integration
IntelliCare can talk to lab machines. To speedup a treatment process, lower Turn Around Time (TAT) and avoid a transcription errors we have implemented a protocol that communicates with different laboratory devices.
Our client application can receive completed investigation results and feed it to the system automatically. The results are available to the Physician immediately. The messaging platform sends notifications to everyone concerned.
Barcode assisted patient tracking
Bar code scanners are used to identify the patient. Patients can come any time and a unique barcode printed in their card is scanned to fetch their account. It facilitates the reception process and creates a pleasing customer experience. Moreover, it is used to verify the authenticity of all the services patients paid for by giving a printed code in their electronic and/or printed receipts.
Extensive reporting
Trends, revenue monitoring, overall and unit (department) specific performance report is available on demand.
The reports present an accurate picture of the performance of the Hospital that it helps management to make timely decisions. For example, some units might be under stress due to large number of patients. This information can be used to allocate more resources as necessary.
Insight about the revenue is usually used to optimize cost and maximize profitability by determining source of revenue leaks. Some units might be very costly to run at the same time perform poorly. Identifying weak links can make a difference.
IntelliCare’s extensive reporting also helps to identify fast moving drugs, frequently applied procedures or investigation orders etc … .
Complex pricing scheme
A significant amount of time is spent on calculating patients’ cost properly. Different patients have different payment plans. Here are some categories:
Cash patients, Premium patients, Discount patients, Foreigners, Credit patients, Insured patients, etc…
Especially insurance companies come up with very complex insurance cover schemes. For e.g. U.S. State insures it’s employees with a tricky pricing plan. It covers 80% of an outpatient medical cost, 50% for Dental procedures, but 100% for inpatients. And only 80% of drug cost of covered. But 100% for emergency drugs!
Such complicated pricing scheme can easily be configured in IntelliCare. It relieves the finance team from a very tedious but error prone task.
Medical inventory
Hospitals invest a lot of money in buying and administering medical drugs. It is also a main source of revenue leak.
Medical Inventory and stock management is at the core of Intellicare’s design. Units cannot dispense items without the items being allocated for them first. For instance, Pharmacy can be allocated certain amount of items from a centralized warehouse and a journal will created for every movement. At each sales, a detailed record of the item transaction is logged in the system. This greatly enhances the transparency and visibility of medical inventory.
Ministry of Health(MOH) monthly report
IntelliCare prepares Mandatory MOH reports (tally sheets) on demand.
Commissions
Some health institutions prefer to pay Doctors commissions based on performance. This requires to keep track of each task completed by a Physician every day every month. And calculating the commission takes days to weeks to complete.
Now IntelliCare calculates necessary commissions in few seconds accurately since it logs every activity of Physicians.
